CORR© competencies

Consistency: performing a roleplay consistently is essential when the behaviours of candidates are measured against specific criteria.  In a business simulation exercise, a professional roleplayer will respond in the same way when different candidates behave similarly.  All of our roleplayers understand the importance of maintaining consistency and are trained, by us, to deliver a consistent performance – time and again.

Objectivity: roleplayers, like all people, act according to their perception of behaviour.  Our roleplayers understand how subjectivity can affect a roleplay exercise, and where necessary, they control it.  Independent professional roleplayers do not have any preconceived ideas about the candidates and this counters the effects of subjectivity.

Realism: to elicit natural behaviour from candidates, it is necessary to create a situation that they can accept as real.  Only by achieving this will they be able to act naturally and demonstrate their level of competence.  As trained actors, our roleplayers know how to encourage candidates to suspend disbelief: that is, to believe temporarily that the situation is real.  Once they are hooked, candidates will act naturally.

Recall: all trained actors have to be able to learn lines.  We ensure that our roleplayers are able to transfer their skills so that they can assimilate role-playing instructions thoroughly.  This enables them to recall information accurately and to improvise appropriately, allowing exercises to flow uninterrupted and within the allotted time.
